Junior History Book 1

Junior History Book 1 is the first in a three-part chronological history course which takes pupils on a fascinating journey from the dinosaurs, through to the Dark Ages visiting the Stone Age and Ancient Egypt along the way. Rigorous but fun, this book provides an excellent basis for the study of history for all Key stage 2 pupils.

***** Absolutely fantastic series of books, the best I have come across for children's history. They cover masses of detail, making it interesting and accessible for KS2 children. Book One gives an introduction to history in general, then covers Dinosaurs, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient Egypt, Spread of Civilisation, Iron Age and Greek Dark Ages. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The introduction of So you really want to learn History Books 1 & 2 has been a wonderful bonus to my teaching my pupils this year. The books are so colourful and relevant, sitting alongside my own History notes very comfortably. We are also enjoying the Junior History series lower down the school.

Caroline Hampton, Home Educator - 9 Sep 2008
I love the fact that your History books are chronological - such a rare thing and makes so much more sense than the way the National Curriculum does history.

We are using Junior History with our Upper Juniors. Galore Park books are proving popular in our small school with staff and pupils alike!

Key events in English history are presented in chronological order and provide a thorough grounding for children at Key Stage 2. This is another fine addition to the Galore Park series of modern textbooks.

Niall Murphy, Radley College - 14 Dec 2007
Edward Brennan has produced a captivating first book in teh Junior History series. It will inspire pupils as it deals with the beginnings og history as we know it - from dinosaurs and the Stone Age to the mummys and pharoahs of Ancient Egypt and the myths of Ancient Greece. As an introduction to history, it really whets the appetite
