Products and Services

What kind of books does Galore Park publish?

We publish educational resources for pupils studying at independent schools and/or preparing for Common Entrance and other entrance exams at 11+ and 13+. Take a browse around our site to find out more about our publishing.

How do I know which products are right for my child?

We realise that it can be difficult to choose the right products, so we've created this helpful, quick guide to our products
 

Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Service Advisor on 020 3122 6405 who will be happy to discuss your child’s requirements, and recommend the most suitable products. 

How can I find a particular title?

Use the 'Explore Our Site' menu at the top of the page to select your chosen subject. We'll show our recommended titles first, and you can 'Show all' to see every product that's available. If you'd like to filter the selection, please select the appropriate Level (Key Stage), Exam and Product Type to narrow your search and identify titles you are interested in. Alternatively, you can use the Quick Search located at the top of the page and search by entering the ISBN, title or author's name.
 

My search results are blank. What's wrong?

If you are using Internet Explorer, you may be presented with a message that says 'Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?' when you enter a product search. If you select 'Yes', you may not see the full search results. To view all results, select 'No' - there is no risk to your system's security as the Galore Park site is fully secure. 

To stop this message from appearing again, you can add Galore Park to your Trusted Address. In your browser, go to Tools, then Internet Options, then click on the Security tab. Click on the 'Trusted Sites' icon, then the 'Sites' button and add the web address https://www.galorepark.co.uk 



Logging In to the Website

Firstly, you will need to register with Galore Park. Please click ‘Set up a personal account’ or, if you are representative of a school or college, please select ‘Register as a teacher at your institution’.

The information you enter as part of the registration process will not be used for any purpose other than for communicating with you in relation to your orders and account. If you choose to receive emails or postal mailings, we’ll let you know about new products, special offers and discounts relating to your areas of interest. Your information will not be shared with any third parties. 

Please note - during registration, you will be asked to enter your address. Please ensure that this where your payment cards are registered (i.e. your billing address). You will have the option to select a different delivery address when you place an order. 



Placing An Order

How do I place an order?

It’s easy to place your order online on our secure website, whether you are a parent, tutor or teacher. 

Select the title(s) you wish to purchase, click ‘Add to basket’ and, when you are ready to pay, simply click the basket at the top of the screen and follow the simple instructions. If you have not already logged in, you will need to do so in order to complete your order. If you have not yet created an account, please select 'Set up a personal account' to proceed, or ‘Register as a teacher’ if you are the representative of a school or college. 

I am a trade customer. How can I place an order?

If you have an existing account with Bookpoint, your terms and conditions will be the same as they are for Hodder Education Schools titles. If you are unsure of your terms & conditions,  please contact  galorepark@bookpoint.co.uk

What does 'Pre-order' mean?

If a book is due to be published in the near future, you can pre-order it. This means that, rather than waiting until the book is available on the website, you can place an order in advance and your item(s) will be dispatched as soon as it is published. Please note that, if you are paying by debit or credit card, your card will be charged for the book(s) when you place the order. 

Buying exam papers

Galore Park is the sole distributor of ISEB exam papers for 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance, and the Common Academic Scholarship Examination (CASE). There is a year’s embargo on all Common Entrance papers, during which time they are only available to schools and colleges – you will always be shown the most up to date papers available. 

I am a parent, and I would like to order some past exam papers. How should I do this?

Please visit our Exam Papers page and follow the steps below:

  • Select the exam level that your son or daughter will be sitting (11+, 13+ or CASE) and click to view the list of subjects
  • Click on the subject you would like to order – this will open to show a list of all of the exam papers that are available to purchase. There are up to 3 exam sittings per year, depending on the exam level
  • Enter the number of papers you would like to order in the white boxes as appropriate
  • Click 'Add exam papers to basket' at the bottom of the screen
  • Mark schemes are included with your exam papers

Please note that the exam papers you order are printed especially for you and therefore cannot be returned or refunded. A charge of £5 is applied for the processing and printing of your bespoke order by our mailing house. Rapid delivery is not available for exam papers.

I am a teacher, and I would like to order exam papers. How should I do this?

Please visit our Exam Papers page and follow the steps below:

  • Log in to view the papers that are available only to schools and colleges. These will include the most recent exams sat by pupils
  • Select the exam level you require (11+, 13+ or CASE) and click to view the available subjects 
  • Click on the subject you would like to order – this will open to show a list of all of the exam papers that are available to purchase
  • Enter the number of papers you would like to order in the white boxes as appropriate
  • Click 'Add exam papers to basket' at the bottom of the screen

The website displays papers for the 12 most recent exam sittings; you can buy older exam papers, and packs of papers on CD, directly from our Schools Advisor, Candis Thurston, on 07795 644 289.

Please note that the exam papers you order are printed especially for you and therefore cannot be returned or refunded. A charge of £5 is applied for the processing and printing of your bespoke order by our mailing house. Rapid delivery is not available for exam papers. 



Using a Promotion Code

From time to time, we will share promotional codes with you. These may entitle you to a generous discount against some or all of the products in your basket. To be one of the first to know about our special offers and discounts, sign up for our eUpdates

If you have a valid promotion code, simply enter it into the 'Add promotion code' box as you check out your order. 



Protecting Your Details

Galore Park is a secure website, so you can rest assured that your details are safe with us. For your extra protection, if you are inactive for a period of 30 minutes, you will automatically be logged off the site. Please note that, if you have items in your basket when this happens, these will be cleared and you will need to add them again. 



Ordering Inspection Copies (Schools Only)

If you are a teacher, you may be able to request an inspection copy of a particular title. If this service is available, an ‘Inspection Copy’ button will appear on the product information page, alongside the product’s description. Simply click on this button to add the inspection or eInspection copy to your basket. 

You may retain the inspection copy for up to 60 days. Within that period you may:

  1. Keep the book free of charge, provided you purchase, or plan to purchase, 15 copies or more within the next academic year; or
  2. Purchase the title at the published price; or
  3. Return it to us in a resalable condition. You will be liable for any postage costs incurred in returning the items to us

Please note:

  1. Inspection copies are only sent to educational establishments, not private addresses. Books are sent carriage-free, but their return is at the establishment’s expense
  2. Not all of our titles are available on inspection, in which case no ‘Inspection Copy’ button will appear on the page. Titles which are not available on inspection include exam papers, CDs, downloads, answer books and interactive resources

Payment Methods

If you have a personal account, payment can be made by credit or debit card. 

If you have registered as a teacher, an invoice will be sent to the address of the school or college you have registered with, subject to account approval. It is not possible to pay for your order with a credit or debit card. Please note that your order will be delivered to the address that is registered with the school’s account.

Amending An Order

Can I amend or cancel my order once I have placed it?

We aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible; therefore it is unlikely that we will be able to amend or cancel an order once it has been placed.

However, if you would like to return any items, please see the Returns and Refunds section below. 

Please note that returns are not available on certain Galore Park products. Returns and refunds are not available for CDs, downloads or exam papers. 



Delivery Costs, Timings and Queries

When will I receive my order?

We aim to have orders processed and dispatched within 48 hours, although delivery timings will vary by the country you live in and the chosen method of dispatch. At certain times of the year, such as over Christmas, there may be delivery restrictions which will affect these timings, but notification will be given on our website.

Can I track my order?

It may be possible to track your order, depending on the delivery method you have chosen. Please contact our Customer Service Advisor on 0203 122 6405 for assistance. 

UK Delivery

Standard (available for all products)

  • £3.50
  • Carrier: Royal Mail
  • Delivery time: 3-5 working days 


Rapid (available for books and CDs only)

  • £7.50
  • Carrier: Courier
  • Delivery time: 2 working days for orders placed before 11.00am

Please note: exam papers will be sent by Standard delivery from our print house. If you have ordered books and/or CDs in addition to exam papers, you will receive these in separate packages. Rapid delivery is not available for exam papers. Orders containing both books and exam papers will be sent by Standard delivery only. 

International Delivery

Standard (books)

  • £5 for the first item
  • £10 for more than one item
  • Carrier: Airmail
  • Delivery time: up to 28 working days

Standard (exam papers)

  • £5 for the first item
  • £10 for more than one item
  • Carrier: DHL
  • Delivery time: 2 weeks

Please note: exam papers will be sent from our print house. If you have ordered books and/or CDs in addition to exam papers, you will receive these in separate packages. Rapid delivery is not available for International orders.

There is a problem with the items I have received. What can I do?

If you believe your order contains different products to those you have ordered, please select from the following:

Exam papers:      please call our Customer Service Advisors on 020 3122 6405

Why haven't I received everything I have ordered?

Books and exam papers are dispatched from different locations and will therefore arrive separately. 

If you have chosen our Standard delivery service, your items will take between 3 to 5 working days (28 working days for International orders) to arrive. If you have not received your items within 5 working days (or 28 working days for International orders) of placing your order, please contact our Customer Service Advisors on 020 3122 6405.


Returns and Refunds

I am unhappy with the items that I have ordered. Can I return them?

We are happy to offer a full refund for books that are returned to us in a resalable condition, within 30 days of purchase. Please call our warehouse team at Bookpoint on 01235 827827, and ensure you have a copy of your original invoice to hand. 

Please note that returns are not available on certain Galore Park products. Returns and refunds are not available for CDs, downloads or exam papers. 



General Enquiries

If I sign up for eUpdates, what kind of emails will I receive?

Galore Park will send you emails relating to the areas of interest you have indicated during your registration process. For example, if you have selected 'English', we may send you details of new English titles, special offers and syllabus updates. 

Please note that, if you choose to give us your email address, you will be signing up to receive eUpdates from the Hodder Education Group.
